MEET THE SQUADbehind mission entrepreneur
Ever since my first business, I knew I wanted to help other women not feel so alone and confused when entering the world of entrepreneurship. Ten years into my entrepreneurship, I’ve found the experts, mentors, and business friends that I wished I’d had all those years ago and. . . I’d love to introduce you to them!
Armed with their expertise, their own entrepreneurship, and compassion, this is the team that runs Mission Entrepreneur.
I hope your experience with us feels like you’ve locked arms with smart, trusted friends that help you tackle the scary parts of starting a business. We know that designing your brand, putting your website out there, and marketing your services can be intimidating.
And that’s exactly why we’re here to support you.
Founder & BossLady in Chief
With several successful business ventures under her belt, Jen now pursues her deep-seated passion to help women find fulfillment and empowerment through entrepreneurship.
Jen earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Factors Engineering at the United States Air Force Academy and a Master’s of Education degree in Human Resource Development from Colorado State University. Despite her degrees, Jen earned her most valuable lessons from the “Business School of Hard Knocks,” failing forward and learning through trial and error consistently over the last 12 years.
A believer in the theory that life begins at the end of your comfort zone, you can usually find Jen at yoga, bootcamp or devouring business podcasts before the sun comes up. She spends most of her office hours next to her trusty sidekick, Preston, a spoiled and quirky rescue-dog with an overbite and the cutest handshake ever.
Jen lives in Arlington, Virginia with her hunky pilot husband, Kevin, and their two insanely busy and fun tweens, Cole and Ally.
Chief of Mission Control
As our mission control operator, Sandy is the heart of operations and keeps everything running smoothly. She’s not only the Chief of Mission Control, but she’s the Chief of Everything. Sandy is a busy mom of twins, entrepreneur, veteran, and military spouse. While teaching in the Air Force, Sandy developed a passion for helping others achieve their goals (and finding the tools that make it easier).
She has a BS in Political Science from the United States Air Force Academy, an MBA from Trident University, and is trained to fly and teach others how to fly the military’s largest aircraft all over the world. As a pilot-turned-instructor, Sandy developed a love for checklists, automation, and smooth landings, along with a passion for helping others. She now uses all that talent to support both the Mission Entrepreneur team and our incredible clients.
Head Graphic Designer & Dreamer
Leanna is a former high school teacher who switched gears to build a home-based business which allows her flexibility to work from home when she’s not chasing her two children around. Armed with a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, a background in tech, as well as her epic graphic design skills, Leanna is passionate about educating other women and helping them build beautiful brands.
Between running her own business and supporting Mission Entrepreneur, Leanna still finds time to be a devoted wife and mother, avid runner, and pizza connoisseur.
As our website commander and tech architect, Kara can often be found with a mug of black coffee helping women get their new websites up and running so they can focus on building their businesses. With a decade of experience as a VP of Marketing and Operations, a former competitive college athlete (#onceatigeralwaysatiger) and several years in website design and branding, we’re convinced that there’s nothing she can’t do!
Kara is married to the love of her life (who she fell in love with at first sight!), the proud mother of two teenagers, and a dog mom to a darling cockapoo. She’s not ashamed to say that she’s obsessed with golfing with her husband, creating functional–and beautiful–websites, and riding her Peloton.

As a military spouse, busy mom, entrepreneur and world traveler, Angela knows the struggle of balancing many roles. While working in the healthcare industry, Angela developed her passion for helping and encouraging others. Currently, she is focused on being a great mom to her daughter and staying present for her family.
Angela was a long-time guest blogger for Mission Entrepreneur and is now making sure our clients stay inspired with our Customer Love Notes.
Content Marketing Navigator
As a copywriter, professional photographer, online entrepreneur, and busy mom, Allie comes to Mission Entrepreneur armed with a BA in Literature and Writing Studies and an MS in Instructional and Performance Technology. You’ll often find her at her laptop at O’Dark Thirty, creating and revising content and training or editing photos.
